Founded in 1998 by Steve Eddy, the Q brand explored several different ventures before finally settling in on traditional audio cables.

However it was Q's 2011 entry into the aftermarket headphone cable market that truly put it on the map and gained itself the reputation as one of the top-tier headphone cables best distinguished by their extreme lightness and flexibility.

Q continued to produce traditional and headphone cables under Mr. Eddy's leadership until 2015, when his decision to explore new markets with new products made it impossible for him to continue to manufacture the handmade cables himself.

In October 2015, Mr. Eddy passed the Q legacy down to Brian Goto of BTG audio, who plans not only to continue making the fine cables that Q has become famous for, but to expand the brand into new and exciting directions.
